Hey Tash, can you tell us who you are and what you do?
Hey, I'm Tash, a fashion enthusiast and certified independent stylist - originally from New Zealand.I am an ocean lover, coffee snob and proud Mama of one gorgeous little wild child.
Sync Styling has organically evolved through many years experience - my love of the fashion industry & wanting to help women feel amazing and have functional, fab wardrobes.
My role is truly creative my services include 1:1 Wardrobe Audits, Personal shopping and Styling, In store VM & mannequin Styling, Boutique work, Content Creation, Photo shoots, VIP event evenings.
It is my absolute mission to empower women to feel their best selves through fashion - helping them curate functional, personality-reflecting wardrobes that boost their confidence and make them feel their most authentic selves.
I see being a stylist as the heart side of fashion (think retail - "therapy", in these spaces there is a real opportunity for connection and vulnerability).
I love supporting local brands, as well as preloved & sustainable stores and labels.
I believe that feeling amazing in your outfits positively influences every aspect of your life. I'm here to help women on that journey of reinvention and rediscovery through how they present themselves.
What are your top tips for overhauling your wardrobe?
There is definitely a method to this process ( A wardrobe Audit is my fave service, think shedding the old and welcoming the new, in both your wardrobe and life)
To keep things simple .....
Start with a cull, only keep things that you love and love you back (think pieces that fit well and are still in good condition).
From there you can identify your style, see your wardrobe gaps and shop with clarity & intention to bring more functionality and cohesion to your wardrobe.
Name 3 must have items for any gal?
Yikes, 3 makes it tricky lets give it a go...
1. A Set. ( Co-ord Set ) A top & bottom designed to be worn as a complete "look" that you can throw on and feel instantly put together for minimal effort , something that can be worn casually or for an elevated look worn with a heel. The reason a set is a must have winner is because it can also be worn as separates so there is SO many looks that can be created. (Check out Pippa Ridley or Palm Collective)
2. Beautiful Basics! Think a great quality T-shirt /Shirt that you can pair back with denim, a structured pant or wear layered open, or under a knit, even unbuttoned over bikinis. These pieces aren't seasonal or leaning into trends they are foundation staples and bring ease to creating outfits and throwing looks together.
3. A leather Jacket - Timeless, a true wardrobe staple, cost per wear over the years makes it worth every cent! (I've had mine for over a decade).
We are coming into the warmer weather now - what is your styling advice for peak summer fits?
Get yourself some fresh swimmers! (Myra swim is my current pick)
Cool tip - buy swim suit that can double as body suit worn with a cute pair of shorts so you can go straight from your morning coffee with the gals to hitting the beach.
You need a cool cap, and lets be real this is such a justified purchase right - sun smart and a vibe.( Check out the Lack of colour or Little Palma)
Have fun with your summer wardrobe explore some colour & prints (Summi Summi are doing great things).
For a day to night dressy energy - Zulu and Zephyr and doing some amazing looks that are so aligned with the Gold Coast lifestyle elevated beachy looks with a seductive alluring edge.
What are your 3 fav items at The Sensory right now?
- Patchs Studio T-shirts (looooooooving)
- Margaux Lee Accessories ( on trend and timeless perfectly blended for seriously the coolest accessories that will have people stopping you on the street )
- Ssaint Parfum -Smokeshow Fragrance (sexy with a masculine edge, yummy, date night ready!)
Spill the tea on what trends you are loving right now and think are worth investing in?
- I'm loving resort luxe vibes this summer, fits that are chic for poolside or daily wear.
- A fresh summer dress.
- I always love white for summer -think tan dewy skin, a woven beach tote and cool slides - BAM you are ready. (Invest in a piece that will be diverse that can be dressed up or down - if you want to be more "on trend" try a sheer style or a drop waist, or one that has added lace (Sabbi Slip).
- Over sized T-shirts - bring some fun into the wardrobe with this trend think cool prints, pops of colour high wearability everyday comfort with a serious edge of "cool".
- Bring is some texture baby! .... Crochet pieces, crushy linens and Towelling (think Poolside Paradiso).
- Pops of gold - Accessories that have some wow factor/ layer bracelets and necklaces.
- Sunglasses are a must, and the best finishing piece to add to your look as you head out the door.
