Hi I'm Somer

I opened The Sensory in Mudgeeraba in 2021 with a pretty simple idea — I wanted to bring back the feeling of discovering a really good boutique.

The kind of shop where you come in for a look and leave with something you weren't expecting to find.

I'm not interested in filling the shop with things you can find everywhere else.

Instead, I look for Australian labels, independent makers, great fragrance, beautiful jewellery, interesting fashion and those slightly unexpected pieces that make The Sensory feel like The Sensory.

Some things are fun. Some are a little weird. Some are beautiful. And not everything is for everyone — that's kind of the point.

We're proudly independent, proudly local and forever changing.

And now we're evolving again.

The Sensory is becoming more than a boutique — we're creating a little neighbourhood place to shop, sip, discover and stay awhile.
